Ramadan in Bahrain is a time of community, generosity and extraordinary food. Iftar — the meal that breaks the fast at sunset — brings families and friends together around tables that are more abundant and more varied than at any other time of year. For the vegetarian community in Bahrain, finding an Iftar that is both satisfying and authentic can be a challenge. Kailash Parbat has been the answer for many.
Indian vegetarian cuisine is inherently well-suited to Iftar. It is high in protein (lentils, paneer, chickpeas), complex in carbohydrates (rice, bread, potato), rich in flavour, and produces the kind of satiation that sustains through the evening and into Suhoor. A thali from Kailash Parbat — with its combination of dal, sabzi, roti, rice and dessert — is nutritionally complete and deeply comforting after a long day of fasting.
Our chaats, while lighter, also work beautifully as a starter for Iftar. Pani puri and dahi wada are cooling and hydrating — ideal for rehydrating the body gently after a day without water.
To start: Dahi Wada (BD 1.600) — soft lentil dumplings in chilled yogurt. Cooling, protein-rich, gentle on an empty stomach. Or Raj Kachori (BD 1.700) for something more substantial.
Mains: The KP Executive Thali (BD 3.900) is our most complete offering — a starter, roti or naan, three vegetable curries, dal, pulao or biryani, kulfi, papad, pickle and raita. Everything in one plate. The Paneer Tikka Biryani (BD 3.500) is also extremely popular during Ramadan for its richness and volume.
Dessert: Kulfi Falooda (available at the dessert counter) — cold, sweet and the perfect way to end an Iftar meal.
We cater Iftar events across Bahrain throughout Ramadan. Whether it is a small family gathering at home or a large corporate Iftar for 200 people, our catering team handles the full spread. We provide live chaat counters, full buffet setups with hot mains and dessert stations, and packed individual Iftar boxes for corporate distributions.
Our Iftar catering menu includes: live pani puri station, assorted chaats, paneer and vegetable curries, dal makhani, biryani, breads, raita, and desserts. We accommodate Jain dietary requirements in catering with advance notice.

View Catering OptionsBoth our Dana Mall and Oasis Mall locations are open during Ramadan. Our hours during Ramadan extend to accommodate Iftar dining — doors open from 10 AM, with the food court at its busiest in the hour after Maghrib. We recommend arriving shortly before Iftar time to secure a table, as demand is significantly higher during Ramadan at both locations.
Ramadan Kareem from all of us at Kailash Parbat Bahrain.
